Richard O. Flinn

Richard Flinn is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He divides his time between homes in Atlanta and Paris France. He has been creating art for more than 60 years, expressing his creative urges through multiple media including architecture, design, jewelry, landscaping, sculpture, painting, music and photography. As Director of Restoration of the National Historic Landmark Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA, he spent 16 years restoring the building, its interiors and furnishings to their original 1929 exotic splendor. His preservation work in Atlanta also included the 1912 Ponce de Leon Apartment building, and the historic home of the first president of Georgia Tech. In Paris, France, he has renovated numerous apartments built between the 17th and 19th centuries, decorating and furnishing their interiors in era appropriate styles. In Maharashtra, India, he was asked to supervise the restoration of the tomb shrine of Avatar Meher Baba, with its elaborate interior paintings created in the 1930’s by Swiss artist Helen Dahm.
